Terms and Service

Definitions

“Business” and "Management" are referring to D'Food Studio.

“Client” and "Hirer" are the individual or company for whom the services are being provided.

“Damage” includes but is not limited to breakages and damage or defacement to Venue premises, fixtures or furniture, which cause the Business to incur costs.

“Event” means the photoshoot, videoshoot, function, special occasion or conference on the date agreed by the Parties.  

“Fee” is the fee agreed between the Parties for the Event as part of the Proposal.

“Services” are the rental of the Venue by the business to the Client and any other services included in the proposal.

"Venue" is the space in D'Food Studio where events of a specific type are held.

Booking

  • The booking is only confirmed when 100% payment has been made along with a cleaning fee and a security deposit.

    • Cleaning fee and security deposit subject to number of pax as stated in the table above

    • The security deposit is refundable upon good care of space.

    • If the actual number of pax exceeds the total pax booked, security deposit will not be refunded.

    • Additional hour(s) beyond booked time and/or other charges will be deducted from the security deposit thereafter.

    • All deposits and refunds will be processed and returned on the 5th of every month.

  • Public holidays in Wilayah Persekutuan and Selangor are considered as weekend rates

  • A 20% surcharge per hour will be implemented for booking that start/end between the timing of 11pm - 6am.

  • The allocated booking session is inclusive of set-up, test shoot, makeup and post-shoot clean up. The hirer is to hand over the studio punctually in the original condition, at the end of the session.

  • Extension and/or postponement of booking session(s) is subjected to availability. Additional charges apply.

  • In the event of over run of time, the rate will be charged by the hour that the studio is handed over.

  • Management reserves the right to cancel bookings without any prior notice.

Terms of Payment

  • All prices displayed on our website are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).

  • 100% of payment must be made within 7 days of the invoice date.

  • We accept payment via Bank Transfer or Duit Now only.

  • We are not liable for any bank charges for fund transfers. The Hirer shall bear the full cost of such charges.

Reshedulling or Cancellation

  • Once the booking is confirmed, amendments to shorten booking session(s) are subjected to Management approval. Additional charges apply.

  • Should there be any postponement or rescheduling of the date of booking after invoice is sent (subject to approval and availability), an admin fee of MYR100 will be imposed.

  • A confirmed booking shall only be deemed to be cancelled when the Business receives written cancellation notification from the Client.

  • The cancellation fee for notice period:

    • 7 days or more – 100% of the payment, along with the 100% security deposit and cleaning fee will be refunded. Admin fee of MYR100 will be imposed.

    • 3 – 7 days – 50% of the payment, along with the 100% security deposit and cleaning fee will be refunded.

    • Less than 3 days – Only the security deposit and cleaning fee will be refunded

Use of Studio or Equipment

  • Studio equipment/ items included kitchen cabinet, fittings, furniture, appliances, equipment, accessories or any items provided by Business in the studio.

  • Client acknowledges receiving the studio items from us in a good, clean and perfectly working condition unless specified otherwise. We will not guarantee, assume responsibility or make any claims of the performance of the equipment once it is passed on to the hirer.

  • Footwear is not allowed within the studio premises in order to maintain a clean space for others. If it is required to due to safety reasons, footwear must be covered in wraps upon entering the premises. If the subject of the shoot requires footwear to be worn, the said footwear must be clean and wiped down before usage, and removed upon completing the shot.

  • The studio/equipment should be used with care and respect. The hirer should not in any way modify or materially alter the equipment/studio.

  • At the end of the booking session, the studio/equipment should be returned to us in the same condition you received it. All garbage disposed by the hirer and all equipment returned to their respective areas of the studio. Should there be damages or additional clean-up involved for the equipment/studio, the hirer shall be held responsible and the corresponding maintenance fees will be charged accordingly.

  • Should the hirer decide to use an external caterer or vendors, details of the caterer or vendor have to be submitted to Management prior to the booked date.

  • We are not liable for any loss, damage of personal belongings or any personal belongings or any personal injuries of the hirer or their guests during the use of the studio/ equipment.

Non- Compliances Charges

  • This list is non exhaustive. Additional charges may arise at the reasonable cost for restoration, replacement or compensation depending on the extent of the non-compliance, not limited to the items below:

  • If place is found dirty with dishes not washed, remnant trash or leaky trash bags, decoration not removed, food or water spills etc.

  • Use of strong mounting tapes or other type of adhesive leaving visible damage to the walls, floor or any studio items.

  • Lost and / or damaged equipment, furniture, amenities or related within compound.

  • Shifted furniture (MYR100) - If furniture is not shifted back to original position.

  • Climb and step on the kitchen tables or cover the CCTV with any object.

  • In the situation where the studio requires additional manpower or equipment for cleaning/repair, the full cost will be borne by the hirer.

  • In the event of theft, further investigations will be conducted, and hirer may be made liable for loss of property.

General Information
